Home Styling Expert’s founder, Lindsay
Blackman, is herself a highly successful property developer who
worked
for many years at board level as director of a major UK construction
company.
During her time there she found she had a talent for styling, promoting and moving properties gratifyingly quickly. She moved on to found her own company, styling and selling a succession of properties the only ongoing pitfall, she confesses, being her total inability to resist a challenge – the more decrepit the better!
Lindsay established Home Styling Expert as a response to the many enquiries that were coming in as a result of styling and showing her own properties. She saw a niche in the market for a flexible but expert service happy to provide as much or as little as clients wanted. Her projects have taken her all over the UK and Ireland.
She firmly believes there’s always more to be learned and continues to add to her skill set. She spent considerable time training with Channel 5’s House Doctor, Ann Maurice. Now Lindsay writes editorial for magazines and has launched her own TV & Radio career and has worked with household names, like IKEA, giving home styling advice to their consumers.
You may have watched Ann's popular TV shows such as Interior Rivalry and House Doctor. She is a pioneering, inspirational Californian Interior Designer who spent 12 years in the UK, turning unsaleable properties into desirable residences.
Lindsay loves nothing more than signing up for a feng shui, fresh specialist design, photography, soft furnishing or floral display course. She has a passion for bringing out the very best in any area whether living, dining, bathing or sleeping. Her strength is with colour and shape, that manifests into a home which is both united with a colour flow and balanced with its furniture, lighting, accessories and textures.
She a stickler for detail as can be testified by a succession of chastened tradesman and estate agents chivvied into putting in a perfect performance.
